The Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC) has urged entrepreneurs of Liberian-owned business to make use of the first Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF).

The fair, which is expected to last for seven days, will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from December 11-17. It is aimed at giving a boost to Liberian businesses desirous of marketing their products and services in that country.

A release issued on Wednesday, November 14, under the signature of its secretary general, Ms. Salamartu Duncan, said the initiative is being undertaken in consultation and collaboration with government institutions and the Liberia Business Association (LIBA), and noted that the Intra-African Trade Fair is the first of its kind in Africa.

The fair will also provide a platform for sharing trade, investment and market information, enabling buyers and sellers, investors and countries to meet and discuss relevant business deals between the two countries.

The release said that the IATF is brought to those participating business owners by Afeximbank, in collaboration with the African Union (AU), and will be hosted by Egypt, which will be represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade / Export Development Authority.
