Dar es Salaam. Bora Industries Limited – manufacturers of footwear for both industries and non-industries – plans to exted its export markets for its footwear.

The company’s production and marketing manager, Ms Celina Nyambo, said the company currently exports footwear to Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo.

They include safety and military boots.

She said the durability and reasonable price for the company products has remained the major factor for increased markets, both local and exports.

She said the company capacity is to produce 12,000 pairs of safety boot, 300 pair of school and fashion shoes and 25,000 pairs of military boots per month.

Our prices are nearly half of the market prices, so this is the major attraction of our shoes,” she said.

Ms Nyambo noted that currently the company targets mining, oil and gas companies and others that need safety shoes, the government for military boots as well as households for fashion and shoes.
